Let's jump back a few years to an 8th grade Evan, first signing up for deviantart and nothing short of intrigued by the concept of looking at artwork and having your evaluated in turn.

Then we can jump forward a few months to Evan entirely forgetting about the site's existence because he has the follow-through of a ceramic flowerpot.

Now we can skip forward to a few days ago, when a friend persuaded me to use the site once more (Thanks, Zigzag ). I know more about myself now and should be able to get some serious art done, only to find myself completely and utterly without inspiration.

I've already decided that visual art just isn't my medium. I don't have the patience, dexterity, or talent to make any kind of drawing, and there's still that complete and utter lack of follow-through that would stop me from ever scanning my work on to the site.

Seeing and anticipating this, I decided that writing would be an all-around better medium for myself. I prefer it, actually, and have actually shown some aptitude for it on occasion.

So, today, while home from school on a sick day, I sat down to really get some writing done only to find myself with writer's block.

...what a sick joke.
